my family always does the same foods for any big party– its always hot ham, hot roast beef sandwhiches, baked ziti and meatballs with the same ol same ol salads (ie, macaroni salad, pasta salad, potato salad etc..) sometimes they order pizza or have stromboli too but not always.

well id like to do something different for the party after my daughters baptism. i need ideas tho.

chicken alfredo is one idea from a friend…. any other suggestions??

I am thinking about doing a cold cut platter (in addition to other things including a tray of baked ziti and a tray of sausage and peppers, appetizers, salads, etc.). There are about 20 people attending and I would have American and Swiss Cheese, turkey, ham, salami. How many lbs of each cold cut should I get? Is that a good selection?

Party for 35 - Italian Cuisine - How much to order?

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008
heatherwadin asked:

I am hosting a birthday party for my fiance. We are expecting 35 people for certain, and possibly 5 more last minute arrivals. I am ordering from a local Italian restaurant but am confused on quantity. I plan to order
salad
chicken parm
eggplant parm
meatballs
baked ziti
antipasto

They have small and large. Small feeds 8-10, large feeds 18-22. I do not want a huge supple of leftovers, as has happened in the past.

In addition to this, we will have a veggie tray, chips, salsa and lots to drink.

Opinoins on what sizes would be great!!!
